"From the Canoe: Steve Snell" Opens at Albrecht-Kemper Museum of Art

Steve Snell, Sosland Family Chair of Foundation Studies at KCAI, describes his exhibition as a “somewhat absurd vision of adventure” in a recent mention from KC Studio.
Starting September 21, visitors to the Albrecht-Kemper Museum of Art in St. Joseph, MO will be able to view "From the Canoe: Steve Snell" which includes paintings and video created during the artist's solo trip along the entire length of the Missouri River.
According to a recently published article from KC Studio, Snell "...set out in the summer of 2022 to travel the entire 2,341 mile-length of the Missouri River in a canoe." He painted more than 100 water watercolors along the route.
