Summer Intersession Courses
Summer Intersession is offered as part of our regular academic curriculum. B.F.A. students may enroll for no more than six credit hours per session. Enrollment is completed through web registration on your MyKCAI portal. Students hoping to transfer credits earned at KCAI to other institutions should consult with their academic advisors at those institutions for approval.
Tuition
Tuition is $440 per credit hour. Students registering for studio classes are required to pay studio fees of $34 per credit hour, as well as any additional materials fee specific to the studio. Tuition and fees for Session I are due in full in the Business Office by Friday, May 21. Tuition and fees for Session II are due in full in the Business Office by Friday, June 25. Enrollments will be canceled the day after this payment deadline if payment has not been received.
Unpaid Students
Students who have enrolled but have not paid will be automatically dropped from the class. Remaining spots in the class will be filled on a first come, first served basis after the deadline. Students may re-enroll and pay to secure a spot if it is available.
Financial Aid
Degree-seeking students enrolled in at least 6 hours are eligible to apply for federal assistance during the summer sessions. The federal Pell Grant and direct loans (Subsidized, Unsubsidized and PLUS) are available.
