Printed Reflections is a small survey of works by Black artists who have exhibited their work at the H&R Block Artspace. Curated by HR Block Fellow Isabel Vargas, this exhibition reflects on the ways in which these artists have impacted the Artspace and the greater community through their examination of race and identity within their works. Printed Reflections features works by Rashawn Griffin, Kahlil Irving, and Paul Anthony Smith placed into context with work by Kara Walker selected from the KCAI teaching collection. The exhibition also includes a reading list of select printed materials drawn from the Cohen Resource Library and the curator’s private collection by Emily Bernard, Reni Eddo-Lodge, Nat Love, Tony Morrison, William Pope L., Stanley Whitney, and William Villalongo.
