2023 Annual BFA Exhibition

In celebration of a new generation of artists and designers earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the Kansas City Art Institute, the H&R Block Artspace and KCAI Gallery are pleased to present the 2023 Annual BFA Exhibition: Another Kind of Time. The exhibition opens to the public on Saturday, April 15, from 12-5 p.m., and it will remain on view through May 13, 2023.

Featuring recent work by over 100 artists majoring in Animation, Art History, Ceramics, Creative Writing, Fiber, Filmmaking, Graphic Design, Illustration, Painting, Photography, Printmaking, and Sculpture with minors in Asian Studies, Entrepreneurial Studies, Social Practice, and Sound, this annual exhibition provides many of these artists with their first public exhibition opportunity while also representing the culmination of their BFA degree program.
The 2023 Annual BFA Exhibition: Another Kind of Time is co-hosted by the H&R Block Artspace and the KCAI Gallery. Both venues are open and free to all.

The 2023 Annual BFA Exhibition: Another Kind of Time is organized for the Kansas City Art Institute by guest curators Aleah Washington and David Alpert. Special thanks as well to the KCAI President’s Office, Visiting Artist Working Group, and the Professional Practice Center for their support of the 2023 BFA Awards.
