Laura Berman

Bio
Laura Crehuet Berman has taught printmaking, book arts and color studies at KCAI since 2002. Her work is represented by Cade Tompkins Projects (Providence), Long View Gallery (Washington, D.C.), Olson-Larsen Galleries (Des Moines), Sherry Leedy Contemporary Art (Kansas City), Uprise Art (New York City), and ZINC Contemporary (Seattle). Berman publishes new prints regularly by invitation with Pele Prints (St. Louis) and she has worked with Circulo del Arte (Barcelona) and Flatbed Center for Contemporary Printmaking (Austin).
Her work is exhibited and collected around the world and featured in ‘The Book of Probes’ by David Carson/Marshall McLuhan, ‘Printmaking at the Edge’ by Richard Noyce, ‘A Survey of Contemporary Printmaking’ by Egan/Ehlbeck/Muise, ‘Contemporary American Print Makers’ by E. Ashley Rooney and Stephanie Standish, 'Color Theory: A Critical Introduction' by Aaron Fine, and 'An Artist and a Mother' edited by Tara Carpenter Estrada, Heidi Moller Somsen and Kaylan Buteyn.
Berman received her B.F.A. degree from Alfred University and her M.F.A. degree from Tulane University. In 2024, Berman will work as a Fulbright Scholar at the University of Canberra in Australia.
