Special thanks to Former Fiber Chair Jason Pollen for making the connection with the Community Christian Church and for envisioning this exhibition opportunity for KCAI students to share their work in the Kansas City community. The Community Christian Church was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright and completed in 1942. It showcases many of Wright’s design ideals, including compression and expansion of light and space. Believing that architecture could be genuinely transformative, Wright devoted his life to creating a total aesthetic that would enhance society’s well being. “Above all integrity,” he would say: “buildings like people must first be sincere, must be true.” The same can be said for artwork.
