Lecture series – Fred Moten

Fred Moten will be speak as part of the college’s “Current Perspectives” lecture series. Free and open to the general public. Moten is a scholar and theorist, as well as a National Book Award-nominated poet. His critical work has been focused on the aesthetics of the black radical tradition on education, and he also has a great deal of significant work on black art and social life forthcoming in several books. Moten’s work moves between performance, poetry and critical theory. He lives in Los Angeles and is a professor at the University of California, Riverside.
