Summer and winter intersession courses and internships are offered as part of KCAI's regular academic curriculum. B.F.A. degree program students may enroll in no more than six credit hours per session. Intersession courses are open to students from other institutions and members of the community through KCAI's School of Continuing and Professional Studies.
Students who have enrolled but not paid will be automatically dropped from class. Remaining spots in the class are based on a first come; first serve basis after the deadline. Students may re-enroll and pay to secure a spot if it is available.
The last day to add or drop an intersession course is the second day of the term. Withdrawals after this date will be charged a $35 administrative fee per course and all other fees are non-refundable. Tuition will be refunded according to the following schedule:
100% through the second day of the term
50% third day of the term
25% fourth day of the term
0% after the fourth day of the term
Visiting students and KC community members are welcome to take intersession courses and should register through the School for Continuing and Professional Studies either online at www.kcai.edu/artforeveryone, by calling (816) 802-3333, or in person at 32 E. 46th Street. Students wishing to transfer credits earned at KCAI to other institutions should consult with their academic advisors at those institutions for approval.
