From volunteer opportunities to society memberships, from biennial events to end-of-semester exhibitions, KCAI welcomes every kind of involvement in fundraising efforts and support of its arts programs.

The Warwick Society is an insider’s express pass to art and design in the Kansas City area. Members of the Warwick Society have the opportunity to visit studios of well-known local artists and alumni-owned design companies, view private and corporate collections, enjoy travel opportunities and participate in classes and presentations by students and faculty. Membership fees help provide much-needed scholarship assistance for more than 90 percent of the talented young artists and designers who come to the Kansas City Art Institute.

KCAI works with three auxiliary committees who organize, meet and host events on the college's behalf. These committees are volunteer or member-based and their efforts help contribute to funding, educating the public about KCAI or maintaining our beautiful campus and historic buildings.
Organized in 1963, the Vanderslice Committee is a volunteer support organization that raises funds for the restoration of Vanderslice Hall, the college's main administrative building. The historic mansion dates to 1896 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

The Fireside Committee is a volunteer support organization that helps to raise funds for student scholarships through a variety of events. Past events include "Hooray for Hollywood" and “Bravo for Broadway." The committee arranges an event to be held every fall semester.

The Sketch Box Committee is a member-based support organization that conducts monthly events intended to educate attendees about art and artists in the Kansas City community. Events include monthly meetings held at various locations throughout the Kansas City metropolitan area, including aritst studios, galleries and workshops. Membership and attendance are open to the public.
