Presented in the Cohen Resource Room, The Art of Carl Kurtz: Ballet on Paper celebrates the creative life and art of Carl Kurtz, a beloved friend and professor who taught in the School of the Foundation Year at the Kansas City Art Institute for over 40 years. The exhibition is curated by KCAI professor Hal Wert, PhD, and Molly Kaderka (KCAI, Painting 2011).

His works are included in the collections of the University of Nebraska; Wellesley College, Massachusetts; Central College, Iowa; J.B. A member of the KCAI faculty since 1973, Carl received KCAI’s Distinguished Achievement Award, a Fulbright-Hays Grant, an Alliance of Independent Colleges of Art Faculty Research Grant and several Mellon Faculty Enrichment Grants.
