Art History symposium

The School of Liberal Arts is hosting an Art History Symposium for KCAI’s art history majors from 10 a.m. to noon in the Irving Amphitheater. For more information contact Rebecca Dubay at email@example.com.
Four KCAI students will present papers at the Symposium:
- Natalie Spicker (junior, fiber and art history): “Lenore Tawney and Magdalena Abakanowicz: Redefining Fiber and Fine Art”
- Mary Lim (senior, graphic design and art history): “Ed Ruscha’s Word Paintings: Manipulation of Text and Image”
- Emily Stout (senior, illustration and art history): “Contradictions of Postmodern Progress and the Marginalization of Outsiders”
- Karolina Akimov (senior, illustration and art history): “The Lobster as a Symbol of Prosperity”
Each presentation will be 15 minutes with time after for questions.
