High School

High school classes are offered year-round at the Kansas City Art Institute. All classes give fine art instruction while working with any skill level. Classes align with the KCAI Foundation Year and are designed to give a preview of what art school life is like. Studio classes in ceramics, fiber, sculpture and woodworking take place in the collegiate studio space.

Select courses are offered for one hour of college credit with an additional fee. Students are encouraged to take credit classes in sets of three; three hours of college credit are typically equivalent to one college class. Courses taken for credit will appear on a student's transcript.
