Intaglio, wood block, lithography, letterpress, silk-screen, digital interventions and bookmaking give layered nuance to all images: The technical process becomes part of the piece. The printmaking curriculum strikes a balance between learning skills and concepts and the development of the students' individual studio work.
Traditional printmaking tools provide a framework for innovation and may lead you into digital imagery. At the same time, digital processes may serve as preface for traditional approaches and techniques.
